The competitiveness clusters represent integrated and developed spaces to host activities in the field of scientific and technological research, on the one hand, and the fields of technological development and production, on the other hand,
The region of the centre has two competitiveness clusters, one in Sousse and the other in Monastir, projects implemented as part of the public-private partnership and characterized by high quality production systems based on research, development and innovation, through research centers, industrial support zones, as well as modern infrastructures meeting the international standards.
Each pole represents a lever for economic and social development in the region
* The competitiveness cluster of Sousseis est un espace de production, d’innovation, de recherche et de formation dédié aux activités liées aux secteurs électriques, mécaniques, électroniques et informatiques, il comprend trois composantes :
A technopole of 55 ha, specialized in the IT, electronic and mechanical sector, it is composed of:
- The engineering school of Sousse
- A centre of technological resources
- A research centre in nanotechnology, and microelectronics
- Business incubator
An off-shoring zone of 48 ha in Hammam Maarouf
Multisectoral industrial zone in Enfidha with 142 ha
* The competitiveness cluster of Monastir-El Fejja is a specialized area in Textile & Clothing sector and consisting of:
a textile and clothing technopole (50 Ha) (50 ha) and textile refinement and finishing area (50 ha) "neotex" (50 Ha) « neotex »
a network of partners with textile stakeholders at the regional, national and international levels "Intex"
Multi-sector industrial support parks “neopark” 110 ha.»

The central region has:
26 industrial zones offering many amenities and covering 479 hectares
III- Accommodation structures:
-Business incubators :
Business incubators are support and accompanying structures for the new contractors to set up their projects with personalized support through a network of experts and advisors and by providing accommodation premises equipped with logistical means
- Business incubator “Sousse Tech”
- Business incubator “Soft –Tech”
- Business incubator "Kairouan Technological Innovation"
- Business incubator "Nursery of Innovative Initiatives (Ksar Hellal)"
- Business incubator “ Mahdia Entreprendre"
-The Cyber Parks:
Cyber parks are structures designed to house new business creators to provide them with material resources and a support during the incubation phase of their business projects.
To support young entrepreneurs in the implementation of their projects, cyber parks provide them with premises equipped with operational telecommunications infrastructure, common services and materials and technical assistance (information, advice and linking).
The projects which are selected to operate in these spaces are directly related to information and communication technologies and whose activity would create sustainable jobs.
Three cyber parks are located in the region of the Centre:
- Cyber park in Hammam Sousse constituted of 27 spaces with an area of 1200 m2
- Cyber park in Monastir constituted of 15 spaces with an area of 915 m2
- Cyber park in Kairouan constituted of 22 spaces with an area of 1295 m2
